Long Keng Saga -

From Save Long Keng https://www.facebook.com/Save.LongKeng - A video documenting the abuse of Hong Kong's Small House Policy. Greed, corruption and illegal land development leading to the destruction of a once beautiful area of the New Territories - as those responsible remain unpunished by the authorities.

Sai Kung transport woes continue....

From 關注西貢規劃陣線 Sai Kung Planning Concern Front - SPCF

Although most Sai Kung residents are complaining traffic issues everyday, Transport Department never express their concern on Town Planning Board. While other departments will raise questions on various aspect (e.g. environment, noise, sewerage, gas etc.), we believe TD should also examine and voice out the potential risk and problems brought by the planning application.
Please join our one-resident-one-letter campaign, write down your personal experience of traffic issues in Sai Kung and send to Town Planning Board to urge the Transport Department to respond those problems on Sai Kung planning application!!

Save Our Country Parks - Help Required

Save Our Country Parks is arranging for a head count of folks going into our Country Parks on Sunday 13 December between 8 – 12 midday.
FSK members are invited to pencil the event into their diaries and a) volunteer to join the roster which will man the table at the Pak Tam Chung barrier, and b) remind members to make a point of visiting a Country Park on that day and displaying photos/selfies on their Facebooks. We are hoping that there will be postings by people throughout December on personal and Group Facebook pages.

SOCP will arrange for delivery of a pack – a SOCP flag, sign-up sheets for a head count, and a SOCP foam board and picture frame that visitors can use as a prop for their selfies.

In Sai Kung, we need volunteers to help at the Pak Tam Cheung Barrier table with the headcount. If you can help - please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Thanks FSK Committee.

Ko Tong NTEH applications A/DPA/NE-TT/56-57

Subject: Ko Tong NTEH applications A/DPA/NE-TT/56-57.

Dear sirs,

I write to register strong objections to the above applications.

The village has been subjected to systematic destruction of trees on
Government land and the building of an illegal road since November 2013.
You and all relevant Government Departments are fully aware of this.

Save Lugard Road Now 立即拯救盧吉道

A third public consultation on hotel at Lugard Road - we need you to act
Dear friends of ABHK,

Thanks to your help we have been able to keep up the pressure against the development of a hotel at 27 Lugard Road. As you may know the developer submitted a fresh application in November 2014 responding to some of the public's objections and there was a public consultation. 827 people sent in their comments by the 2 December 2014 deadline.

Now the developer has tweaked the plans further and the Town Planning Board is having a third public consultation on the tweaked plans!

The aim, as far as we can see, is to exhaust the public and reduce the number of responses to public consultations. We can't allow that to happen and need to you to pls email the Town Planning Board to oppose this plan yet again. The deadline for sending in your comments to the Town Planning Board is30 January.
