FSK came into being on 25 July 2007. It grew out of the Sai Kung Association formed on 27 February 2004 by the late Kevin Sinclair and Judy Love-Eastham. Judy agreed that, because of difficulties with contacting SKA office bearers in order to move forward, it was easier to register a new society with broadly the same objectives.

Friends of Sai Kung (FSK) is:

Friends of Sai Kung is a not-for-profit community organisation "Dedicated to the improvement of Sai Kung’s quality of life and the sustainable preservation of the district’s unique environment for all Hong Kong people"

Our activities include:

  • Exhibitions, meeting, lectures, seminars, etc.,
  • Collecting and disseminating information on all matters relating to quality of life in Sai Kung,
  • Contributing to decisions affecting the future of Sai Kung, through written appeals, public meetings or otherwise, and
  • Identifying worthy projects that will improve Sai Kung's environment and implementing them.
